The parent institution for education and development
EduRise for Development is a UK-registered not-for-profit organisation established under the Companies Act 2006. We exist to advance education, leadership, research and community development within the United Kingdom and internationally.
As the parent organisation, EduRise provides the institutional foundation for its programmes, initiatives and partnerships. We do not affiliate with any political party or ideological movement. Our work is guided by evidence, shaped by community partnership, and evaluated against measurable outcomes.
We operate independently, maintaining the governance standards, accountability frameworks and transparency expected of a UK-registered institution working with donors, funders and international partners.
Why EduRise was established
EduRise for Development was founded on a conviction that education is not a privilege but a foundation — one that every individual deserves access to, regardless of geography, conflict or circumstance.
The organisation was established by Dr Salah AlHaddi and Anwar Taha Ahmed Al-Futaih, bringing together decades of experience working across education systems, community development and international development in the United Kingdom and across the Middle East and North Africa.
The founders recognised a gap between the ambition of international education commitments and the reality on the ground — particularly in fragile and conflict-affected contexts where education systems are most under pressure and communities most in need of support.
EduRise was created to bridge that gap: to build an institution grounded in the UK that could operate internationally with credibility, accountability and long-term purpose. Registered formally in February 2026, EduRise is now building the programmes, partnerships and evidence base needed to deliver lasting change.

Who leads EduRise
Dr Salah AlHaddi
Director & Registered Officer
Dr AlHaddi brings extensive experience in education leadership, community development and international not-for-profit governance. As Director and Registered Officer of EduRise for Development Ltd, he provides strategic leadership and institutional accountability.
Anwar Taha Ahmed Al-Futaih
Founder Member
As Founder Member, Anwar Taha Ahmed Al-Futaih holds a permanent membership role with oversight responsibilities over Reserved Matters including constitutional changes, financial commitments and strategic direction.
Governance Structure
Board of Directors
The Board manages the company and holds overall responsibility for its strategic direction, legal compliance and financial oversight.
Founder Member
The Founder Member holds permanent membership and retains veto rights over Reserved Matters, including constitutional changes and significant financial commitments.
Reserved Matters
Certain decisions — including amendments to Articles, changes to Directors, financial commitments above £5,000, and dissolution — require Founder Member consent.

EduRise operates with full transparency in accordance with UK company law and not-for-profit governance standards.
